FAQ

FAQ for wallpapers and the tutorial

Question: What exactly is the maskmode you speaking of in your tutorial?

Answer: masking is special mode in programs like photoshop or photoimpact. If activated your normal picture changes into mask mode where your only option is to paint with your tools (airbrush, pencil, etc.) in all grey colors from black to white. All drawing or airbrushing parts, which are black (normally shown in red, like in my imageexample), are subtracted from your selection. If you change back to normal mode, your mask is converted into selection. If you copy or cut out this selection you have nice, smooth edges, at all parts you´ve painted in maskmode, instead of a selection with lasso or magic wand.

Question: What program(s) do you use?

Answer: Ulead´s Photoimpact 8
